We’re Not Ready for AI Agents

Or, the Eternal Debate Between What’s Nice-to-Have and What’s Need-to-Have

ChatGPT Agent is the latest bell AND whistle to come from OpenAI. Sam Altman introduced it on X and other platforms last week.

Essentially, it can take over your computer, conduct business for you, pause its work, come back to it, keep up with its progress, just like a human would, albeit with many you-in-the-loop measures built in so nobody inadvertently gives out all their banking information.

If you read Sam’s whole post, you’ll know he’s not sold on the thing himself.

We don’t know exactly what the impacts are going to be, but bad actors may try to “trick” users’ AI agents into giving private information they shouldn’t and take actions they shouldn’t, in ways we can’t predict.
We recommend giving agents the minimum access required to complete a task to reduce privacy and security risks. For example, I can give Agent access to my calendar to find a time that works for a group dinner. But I don’t need to give it any access if I’m just asking it to buy me some clothes.
There is more risk in tasks like “Look at my emails that came in overnight and do whatever you need to do to address them, don’t ask any follow up questions”.
This could lead to untrusted content from a malicious email tricking the model into leaking your data. We think it’s important to begin learning from contact with reality, and that people adopt these tools carefully and slowly as we better quantify and mitigate the potential risks involved.
As with other new levels of capability, society, the technology, and the risk mitigation strategy will need to co-evolve.

Buildbox Quickly Builds 2D Games with AI

Buildbox flips game development on its head by letting anyone—designer or not—spin up polished 2D titles without writing a single line of code. Just drag-and-drop assets onto its “Drop Wheel,” tweak a few sliders, and you’re testing within minutes.

Need graphics?

The built-in AI Asset Generator whips up characters, backgrounds, or UI elements from a quick prompt, shaving hours off design time. A library of 40+ ready-made templates (platformers, racers, puzzlers, shooters, and more) jump-starts prototyping, while the StoryGames AI module can draft an entire 10-chapter visual novel, complete with AI art, after you answer a handful of questions.

Titles built on Buildbox have racked up over a billion plays and frequent “Game of the Day” features on the App Store, proving the platform scales from weekend projects to chart-toppers. If you’ve got a game idea but no coding chops, Buildbox Classic AI turns that concept into a tapped-to-play reality fast.
