Up Your X/Twitter Game, 8 Prompts to Turn ChatGPT Into Your Life Coach, and a Webpage-to-Markdown Capture Tool

  • Twitter thread strategist prompt framework: A complete system-prompt for crafting X/Twitter threads: algorithm-aware hooks, readable body structure, engagement triggers, CTA placement, formatting rules, and multiple thread templates (educational, story, data). Includes a quality checklist to audit hooks, flow, and engagement before posting.
  • Use ChatGPT as a coach, not Google: Eight prompts to push thinking: Idea Stress Test, Flip Perspectives, Framework Builder, Shortcut Creator, Scenario Planner, Objection Handler, Decision Matrix, and Next Steps Map. Each structures analysis and follow-through, making sessions iterative and outcome-focused instead of shallow Q&A.
  • One-keystroke webpage-to-Markdown capture tool: Redditor built a browser tool that copies any page (YouTube transcripts, Reddit threads, LinkedIn posts) into clean Markdown via ⌘⇧M. The post explains the workflow pain it solves and invites feedback; link shared only on request to keep the thread non-promotional.

One More Thing AI Does Better Than You

But This Can Actually Work to Your Advantage

I don’t know about you all, but I get a little tired of hearing how much we suck compared to AI. Seems like every day a headline hits my curation feeds that talks about how companies are cutting jobs, or reading employees the “get on board with AI” riot act.

These ever-present reminders of our own inferiority don’t do a lot to build hope or self-esteem. In the meantime, AI needs us more than we need it.

The only way for it to get better is for us to train it on how to do our jobs better. Maybe that’s why Uber is pushing for their drivers to start doing exactly that in between fares.

Look, I know AI is powerful.

There are many, many things it can do better than we ever could.

  • Retain large volumes of data (it has read the entire Internet)
  • Compose first drafts with minimal direction in the right tone and style, something you might spend an entire afternoon doing yourself, depending on the topic
  • Create whole spreadsheets or websites, or databases on a whim
  • Draw pictures
  • Make videos

But that doesn’t mean we’re ready to be put on a shelf. In fact, one thing AI can do better can actually be used to our advantage.

Personal Mapping

I already knew AI could extract key insights from large reams of data with little provocation. During some recent downtime, however, I hadn’t paused to look back on my journey.

Specifically, my AI journey.

Coming up with over 200 newsletter editions a year, I can find my tank running low sometimes when it comes to content ideas.

Looking back has always been a good routine when I get stuck, but these days, our thoughts are so fragmented across a variety of platforms.

I can’t even remember every social media or email account I’ve ever had. But ever since ChatGPT became my operating system, I now have a special ability to look back that I’ve never had.

On Tuesday, I decided to take stock of my ChatGPT journey for content ideas, so I asked it what I’d used it for in the last 30 days. You can scroll to the bottom of this article to see what it produced for me.

Bottom line: it reminded me of a lot of wins and losses I’ve had with ChatGPT over the last month and told me, specifically, what those things were, opening up doors for how I can put past knowledge to future use.

If you have been using ChatGPT for a while, try this prompt:
