TODAY: Late start for me today, but I had a fantastic time at the Levitt Amp Music Series last night here in lovely Fort Smith. Ruthie Foster and Ava Earnhart knocked it out of the park. I usually get nervous before I do any public speaking on AI, and that only requires me to talk. People who can write, sing, and play their own music (really well, I might add) are more magical to me than any LLM ever could be. So, hats off to them; check these ladies out when you can! Okay, let's get caught up! APRIL 18, 2025
STP: 🧠ChatGPT's Memory Feature Can Tell How Smart You AreChatGPT’s Enhanced Memory Feature can now remember all your chats and discussions that you’ve had with it since the beginning of time—or since you’ve started using it anyway. That got me curious. It also understands IQ testing. What if you merged the two together? Would it be able to give you some idea of how smart you are? Well, yes and no. It does estimate pretty accurately, but it’s not precise enough to get down to an actual score. It’ll also do better with longer chat histories than shorter ones. In other words, if you’ve just started your ChatGPT account, what I have for you today might not be as fun. But if you’ve been at it a while, this one is worth giving a go. After asking ChatGPT to give me a quick assessment of how smart it thinks I am—and watching it proceed to blow smoke up my butt for a little bit—I asked it to turn off the BS and pair its knowledge of me with its knowledge of IQ tests. STEAL THIS PROMPT TO FIND YOUR OWN IQ ESTIMATE📰 AI Is Teaching People How to Write — Whether We Like It or NotWhen I first saw the headline — “If you use AI to write me that note, don’t expect me to read it” — I’ll admit, I rolled my eyes. I assumed FC journalist Mark Wilson was just another “artist” huffing his own farts, ready to condescend from his perch as a “real journalist.” But something told me to slow down and engage with the piece. I’m glad I did. Had I just dropped Wilson’s article into ChatGPT and asked for a summary, I would have missed the nuance, some of which I surprisingly agreed with. There is a lot of AI-generated slop on LinkedIn, and it’s easy to spot: regurgitated insights, pre-chewed opinions, and posts that say everything and nothing at the same time. Wilson’s metaphor — AI posts being like microwaved meals at a potluck — rings true. HERE'S HOW TO ENSURE YOU DON'T FALL INTO AI'S TRAPSTOOL SPOTLIGHT: Younet Launches Personalized AI Agent PlatformTook a little time today to set up my first email agent. It's a simple one. I'm still not really sure what I'll want to use it for long-term, but I grasp the importance of agents at this point, and you gotta start somewhere, ya know? Younet makes it incredibly easy to do it with Zero Coding skills. It took a few minutes to complete, including me searching for the permissions that I wanted to give it and which documents that I wanted to add to its "Brain." But now, I have a tool that I can send emails for me and answer questions based on data that's important to me without having to leave the chatbot. Furthermore, I can add to it as new agent-appropriate use-cases occur to me, AND I can download a Chrome extension so the agent will go with me no matter where I am on the web. You can watch the demo to catch more of its capabilities, or click here. Read All mAIn Street Back Issues HereYour input fuels the content. Let me know how I did today! |

Ladies and Gents, thank you so much for continuing to support the newsletter, and helping grow it. mAIn Street is almost at 500 subs now. I know showing up every day plays a part; but that wouldn't be possible without seeing the growth, receiving feedback, answering your invitations to speak, and hearing about all of your experiences. I've learned so much from everyone, and for that... Thank you! I feel like AI drops bombshells on us every day. I'm excited about where it's heading, and I...
Yesterday afternoon, I had the honor of addressing the Arkansas Colleges of Health Education (ACHE) faculty in Fort Smith. What Kyle Parker and his team have built over there in just a short amount of time has been nothing short of amazing. As usual, when presenting about AI, I learn a lot from the attendees. Going as granular as you can with use-cases and prompting techniques is probably the best way to accelerate your education and ensure you're ready for the world that's coming. The...
APRIL 23, 2025 Steal This Prompt: x Top Story: Half of U.S. Colleges Still Don’t Let Students Access the Same AI Tools as Faculty THE HEADLINES TOOL OF THE DAY: RoomBoost Launches AI-Driven Interior Design Tool STP: 🧠What Is Inverse Prompting, and Why I Use It Another quick tip today. Prompt engineering is the popular term for how you speak to an AI to get the results you're after. But, as I've worked more with ChatGPT and other genAI tools, I've started to notice that it's pretty terrible...
